Hi there, nice to meet you! I am Monica, a UX designer exploring how technology shapes how people learn, train, and interact. I’m driven by curiosity and a passion for creating meaningful, human-centered experiences.
Background
For as long as I can remember, I've been endlessly curious about how people live in worlds so different from my own. I've always been fascinated by how design can shape experiences and create meaningful solutions. This curiosity led me to pursue a BSc in Industrial design at the University of Genoa and an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction at Utrecht University, exploring the intricate relationships between people, design and technology.
Design philosophy
My background has profoundly shaped my design mindset, prioritising the impact of my work. In a world where people interact daily with numerous products, the last thing I want is to add something frustrating, uncomfortable, or meaningless. Instead, I strive to create intuitive, thoughtful designs that enhance people's lives and make them feel fulfilled.
What I love most about design is the endless challenges and ever-evolving skills it brings. I thrive on growth, expanding my perspectives, and being surrounded by teams that support and inspire me—where learning is a two-way street.
What I love
When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me in a bookstore, endlessly searching for the perfect book, or in a yarn shop, picking out new yarn for yet another beanie or cardigan attempt. Beyond my granny hobbies, I love going on adventures, travelling with a good soundtrack, and recharging with a gym session or a bike ride. Music on, world off, the best feeling ever.
